Who's the Guest Speaker?

Andrew Barber is coming back to The Great Escape! He is a favorite speaker of our youths.

Andrew ministers at Northwestern University with RUF. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and Covenant Theological Seminary. Before moving to his current role, Andrew spent nine years teaching Literature at the Stony Brook School, a Christian boarding school on Long Island. He is married to Jessica and together they have four children: Murray, George, Wendell and Posey.

Who's Going?

All the Redeemer churches and several churches in the NJ and NY area. Any non-Redeemer friends are still very much welcome. In fact, we encourage you to bring your friends!

What to Bring

While on campus, students will be staying in cabins and will be fed amply during meal times. A more detailed list of items will be provided at a later time, but some basics include clothes (bring something warm for evening outside activities), tennis shoes, toiletries, any medication, and a bible. Snacks will be provided, but kids can bring money for the camp store and snack bar.

Screen-free time

This retreat is an opportunity to unplug from our devices and connect to one another.

Once arriving at Lake Champion on Friday evening electronic devices will be collected from the campers and returned to them again as we depart on Sunday. We realize this is harder for some folks than others, but trust me, this makes the weekend soooo much better! (Note: If a student needs an electronic device periodically for schoolwork, please let me know ahead of time.)

We look forward to having you join the weekend! If you have any questions, please email Will Anderson.
